George Clark Joins WebBuy as Senior Vice President of Nation’s First Integrated Digital Retailing Application

George Clark, an accomplished sales, marketing and development professional with over 25 years experience, has been named senior vice president of WebBuy, the first, fully integrated, car-buying app that sells dealers’ inventory from their own websites.

George Clark, an accomplished sales, marketing and development professional with over 25 years experience, has been named senior vice president of WebBuy, the first, fully integrated, car-buying app that sells dealers’ inventory from their own websites.

Before joining the WebBuy team in October, Clark spent over 14 years with RouteOne, an online portal that connects car buyers, dealers and financial sources in a seamless sales process. He was one of the founding members RouteOne’s Finance Source Sales Team, and served in various roles, including senior manager of business development/partner integration.

At RouteOne, he was instrumental in onboarding more than 1,400+ finance sources, including many of the industry’s largest banks, credit unions and finance companies.

“As senior vice president, I very much look forward to engaging all of the outstanding individuals and organizations that I have had the pleasure of working with over the past 15 years,” Clark said. “I’m eager to help usher them onto the WebBuy platform and allow them to recognize true, incremental business.”

Clark, who played a critical role in capturing both market share and mind share at RouteOne, also  helped develop innovative products and foster new strategic relationships within the auto finance industry.

“I am extremely pleased to join the WebBuy team because it affords me the opportunity to play a role in the exciting and dynamic world of digital retail with an organization that will reshape the face of this industry,” Clark said.

“We are delighted to welcome George Clark to the WebBuy leadership team,” said Steve Zabawa, who co-founded the startup with now-CEO Tom Murray. “George’s expertise in online sales and financing, plus the deep relationships he developed while at RouteOne, will greatly benefit our customers.”

Clark said he is excited to bring his sales and technology experience to WebBuy’s dealer-centric web application, which allows buyers to choose a new or used vehicle, lock in a price, get an instant trade-in offer, and arrange cash/finance/lease payment. They can add a co-buyer, choose rebates and then complete the deal – all online.
