Look Around and Be Thankful - AutoSuccessOnline

Look Around and Be Thankful

Many things have changed in the auto sales landscape over the years, but one thing hasn’t: This business is made up of people. That’s something we must never lose sight of, and that we must never take for granted.

It’s easy to lose track of things as the year starts to come to a close. The “end of the year numbers” begin to get real, the holidays demand attention, seasonal marketing needs to be put into place, family and business needs are pulling at you…

Take a breath and look around you. Strip away all the stresses that this season seems to bring, and look at the bedrock of your life — the people you depend on and who depend on you. Notice — really notice — those who are around you, without whom your life wouldn’t be the same. Take a moment to appreciate them and be thankful for the time you share with them.

Also take the time to look around your work and appreciate those who support you, encourage you and have taken a chance on you over the years. You’re where you are because of the people around you. No one in a dealership works alone; you depend on your team, and your team depends on you. Show them the gratitude they deserve; a simple word of praise will do wonders for their outlook. We all want to feel needed and appreciated, but we don’t always take the time to say the words. Take the time.

And, in that spirit, we at AutoSuccess would like to thank you, our audience, for your support over the years, and for your continued support in the years to come. Thank you for reading our magazine, reading our blog, listening to our podcasts and taking part in our Webinars. It’s our mission to give you tools for finding success in your field, and maintaining and increasing that success in the future, but without you, we don’t have a mission at all. So, thank you.

Many things have changed in the auto sales landscape over the years, but one thing hasn’t: This business is made up of people. That’s something we must never lose sight of, and that we must never take for granted. So, let’s take a moment and show gratitude to the people who make our lives easier and our careers possible.

Thank you.
