NADA Donates $25,000 to the Travis Mills Foundation at NADA Show 2022

The National Automobile Dealers Association presented a $25,000 donation to the Travis Mills Foundation on Sunday, March 13 at NADA Show 2022.

The National Automobile Dealers Association presented a $25,000 donation to the Travis Mills Foundation on Sunday, March 13 at NADA Show 2022. The Travis Mills Foundation supports veterans and their families through various, long-term programs that help these heroic men and women overcome physical and emotional obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide rest and relaxation.

“I continue to be humbled by the support from folks throughout the country like National Automobile Dealers Association, who learn about our mission and decide to give back to the American heroes who sacrificed so much for our country,” said Travis Mills. “NADA’s support makes it so we can help more recalibrated veterans and their families.”

During the closing Main Stage session of NADA Show 2022, NADA show committee chairman Scott Dube presented a check to retired United States Army Staff Sergeant and recalibrated warrior Travis Mills. Mills is one of only five servicemen from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to survive quadruple amputee injuries. Mills spoke at the session about how he continues to face down the most daunting challenges with courage and humor and how, through the Travis Mills Foundation, he supports other “recalibrated” veterans and their families.

The funds will be used to fund the Foundations’ retreat located in the Belgrade Lakes Region of Maine, where veteran families who have been injured in active duty or as a result of their service receive an all-inclusive, all expenses paid, barrier free experience.

“Veterans have protected and served our country and with this donation, NADA is pleased to help serve their needs,” said NADA show committee chairman Scott Dube. “Supporting veterans through the Travis Mills Foundation is core to the philanthropic spirit of dealers across the country.”
