Dealer Teamwork Successfully Migrated to Google Analytics 4

The company has been been working closely with Google to ensure that its MPOP and suite of digital marketing platform solutions are compatible with GA4.

Dealer Teamwork announced that it has fully migrated all customers from Google Universal Analytics (UA) to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) since the July 1, 2023 launch. An early adopter of GA4, Dealer Teamwork has met all requirements to support and complete the migration to GA4 on behalf of its partners and dealership clients. All GA4 accounts have been created and data is being actively imported.

“We are excited to be ready for the long-anticipated launch of GA4,” said Sean Stapleton, Co-founder and CEO of Dealer Teamwork. “GA4 is the future of measurement, and we want to make sure that our customers are prepared to take advantage of its new features and capabilities. As a sixth consecutive Google Premier Partner, we have been working closely with Google to ensure that our patented MPOP and suite of digital marketing platform solutions are compatible with GA4. We are confident that our dealers are able to continue to track their performance and make informed decisions about their marketing and sales strategies.”

GA4 is a significant upgrade from Universal Analytics (UA), the previous version of Google Analytics. GA4 is designed to collect both website and app data with deeper integration with Google Ads to better understand the customer journey. It also uses event-based data instead of session-based data, which provides a more accurate picture of how customers interact with a business. The new GA4 does not use cookies and has cross-device measurement capabilities.

Major Benefits of Google Analytics 4 Include:

  • Improved customer journey tracking
  • Improved user engagement analysis
  • More powerful audiences for ad campaigns
  • More intelligent user privacy and tracking features
  • Simplified Goals and Events setup
  • Enhanced visualizations and reporting
  • Ability to include a plethora of parameters
  • Less wasteful spending

Dealer Teamwork is a founding member of the Automotive Standards Council for GA4, working with other automotive industry leaders to develop best practices for using GA4. The council has published a set of guidelines that car dealerships can use to ensure that they are getting the most out of GA4. Dealer Teamwork has completed and exceeded recommended work for tagging and reporting and supports the ASC.

“Dealers who leverage ASC events will dramatically improve the usability of GA4 for marketing optimization and customer experience testing,” according to Brian Pasche, creator of the ASC and founder at Pasche Group.

The benefits of Selecting an ASC Provider Include:

  • Better tracking and insights
  • More accurate data
  • Optimized advertising campaigns
  • Improved user experience
  • Increased industry collaboration and best-practice participation
  • ASC Certification

Dealer Teamwork is on the front lines of providing superior analytics and reporting, the release state. Kyle McKenzie, Ford general manager at Kruse Motors confirmed, “Dealer teamwork has always done a great providing transparency and accountability. Their early adoption with GA4 just speaks to their commitment to create the best results.”

“We are committed to helping our clients succeed in the digital age,” said Eric Miltsch, Dealer Teamwork co-founder and VP of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). “The launch of GA4 is a major milestone, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this transition. We look forward to continuing to work with our dealers to help them maximize the value of their data.”
