Longtime automotive interior manufacturer TMI Automotive Products, Inc., has recently welcomed Ross Berlanga to their staff as their marketing Director so he can apply his vast automotive industry knowledge to their established brand, the company said.

Berlanga is a born-and-bred Southern California gearhead who brings over two decades of automotive experience from a wide array of positions that run deep in the industry. Having held roles in marketing, advertising and graphic design, Berlanga will bring his unique set of skills to TMI as they continue providing high-volume automotive components like seating, interior panels, floor coverings, convertible assemblies, headliners and integrated electronic systems. Their specialty in the automotive interior market is to provide high-quality components to both new and restored vehicles.

Southern California has always been a hotbed for the automotive industry, and Berlanga immersed himself in all that he could. Starting in publishing, he worked on well-known titles including Hot Bike, Sport Compact Car and Custom Rodder. He later contributed to the growth of Edelbrock, MagnaFlow, JE Pistons and KTC Media Group. Berlanga was most recently the director of advertising at Race Winning Brands, where he brought the Masters of Motors contest held at two of the largest automotive trade shows, SEMA and PRI. Before Race Winning Brands, he led the marketing efforts at both K&N and AEM Intake brands.

“Talent acquisition is always the key to succeed in any business endeavor,” said Malek Tawil, president of Tuccinardi & Company. “The key is to hire the right skillsets but manage for the best chemistry. Ross brings exciting ideas, a wealth of industry experience and the marketing savvy to add to the already successful brand. We are excited to have him join the Tuccinardi & Company family, and we are eager to see the fruits of new products and applications.”

The addition of Berlanga to TMI’s roster will allow the longstanding family-owned automotive interior manufacturer to continue to provide quality products that are built in the USA. Berlanga will be responsible for TMI’s overall marketing effort, including product marketing as well as marketing communications.

TMI Automotive Products, Inc., was founded in 1982 in the Torrance, CA, family garage of the Tuccinardi brothers, making door panels. They have since grown to be one of the top manufacturers of interior products and are recognized across the industry for their quality and brand presence.
