DOWC announced in a press release the company has received an NJBIZ Empowering Women Award.
This award, given by NJBIZ, a leading New Jersey business journal, recognizes and celebrates companies and organizations that have shown a strong commitment to supporting and elevating women in New Jersey.
“It is time to honor those organizations that invest in, elevate and support women leaders,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher and managing director. “Women leaders can only succeed with the support of the organizations they work for and with.”
To be eligible, companies must show commitment to fostering a positive working environment for women; this includes recruiting, hiring and promoting women, mentoring women, placing women on boards or C-suites, and more.
“DOWC is dedicated to empowering our female team members and helping them grow throughout their careers,” said Michael LaMotta, DOWC CEO.
“We respect the talents of our entire staff and will continue to offer them opportunities to make their mark.”
“In addition, it is with great honor that we share the news that DOWC’s general counsel and COO Edvie Castro was named to AutoSuccess’ Women at the Wheel list,” added LaMotta. “This accolade recognizes today’s top female automotive professionals leading the charge throughout the automotive industry, and validates Edvie’s effectiveness as a leader and mentor.”
“As our team pours over the Women at the Wheel nominations each year, we are all increasingly impressed by the nominees,” said AutoSuccess Publisher Susan Givens. “It is our privilege to shine a light on these incredible automotive industry professionals.”
DOWC said is extremely proud of Edvie Castro for her undeniable commitment and dedication to her craft. “Her leadership has energized our staff and elevated DOWC to new levels year after year.”
