How has your military background shaped your career in the automotive sector?

My military experience absolutely influenced my career in the automotive industry. I was a 92A Automated Logistics Specialist working in a motor pool with the mechanics. The mission was to have our fleet up and running at all times, so we were ready for whatever the orders were. Working in the automotive industry was an easy transition, having that mindset of making sure the customer’s car was up and running and that they were satisfied.

What advice do you have for fellow veterans pursuing a career in this industry?

One piece of advice I would give a veteran is actually something my boss is always saying: “The day always ends.” Coming from an environment where you were told this was go-home criteria and it was out of your control makes things much simpler.
