Women at the Wheel 2023: Corina Diehl

2023 Honoree

Owner & CEO
Diehl Automotive Group

What is one of your proudest accomplishments of your career?

I’m most proud of the culture that we’ve created and the impact that we’ve been able to make in people’s lives by and through our businesses’ operations, sponsorships and charitable donations. Diehl Automotive is a family and that sensibility is the foundation upon which we operate. Our working culture is one that fosters a supportive and inclusive environment where employees and customers feel like part of a larger family (because they are). We prioritize the well-being and satisfaction of our employees and our customers so that they may care for their families and pay it forward. We also take great pride in our commitment to charitable giving and community involvement. By actively supporting and investing in our local communities, we strive to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of those in need. In an industry that seems to be surrendering to big corporate culture, our continued success is predicated upon bucking that trend and focusing on taking care of our people. Dollars and cents can always be quantified, but you cannot attach a value to making a meaningful positive impact on someone’s life.

What is your best advice to other women who want to excel in the automotive industry?

Establish a culture that encourages open communication, trust and collaboration. With a focus on employee well-being and growth, you can create a culture that enhances productivity, loyalty and overall happiness, leading to long-term success for both the business and its employees. Most importantly — Don’t ever quit! Embrace your convictions, even in the face of skepticism. Find your voice. Assert your voice. Have faith in your abilities. You possess the strength to overcome anything that you face. Trust in yourself and forge ahead with confidence. You can do this!
