National Sales Director

What is one of your proudest accomplishments of your career?

I am so proud of all the sales teams I have built over my 20 years in sales leadership, from small start-ups to teams in mega companies. That being said, I am incredibly honored by this recognition and humbled to be included alongside these other notable female powerhouses. This definitely ranks as one of my proudest accomplishments!

In what do you credit your success and/or what do you think makes you stand apart from your peers?

I credit the foundation of my success to my parents who raised me on the showroom floor, fostered my entrepreneurial spirit and encouraged me to attend Northwood University. I have been blessed by no shortage of friends, family and teammates always pushing me to the next level. And I feel that what sets me apart from my peers would have to be my tenacity, sense of humor and the willingness to adapt, all essential qualities for someone to make it in the automotive industry.

What tools do you use to help you grow in the industry?

Network, network and network! From NADA to Women in Automotive, take it all in! Meet people, learn what they do, sit in seminars, talk to dealers and keep educating yourself about our ever-evolving industry. Take advantage of company-sponsored leadership training and tuition reimbursement. It was only a few years ago that I made the anxiety-inducing decision to go back to school for my MBA in leadership (while figuring out how to balance school with a full-time job and raising a family) and I am so thankful I did.

What is your best advice to other women who want to excel in the automotive industry?

Develop a thick skin. Don’t be afraid to take chances. Network! Get involved. Take on stretch projects. Always strive to be better each day by training with an open mind. And never stop learning.
