SureSale Launches Digital Vehicle Inspection Program for Repair Facilities and Technicians

Robust vehicle history and condition report, and industry-first inspection app, speeds up vehicle inspections, building trust between consumers and repair facilities/technicians, helping them meet rising demand for pre-purchase inspections.

SureSale, which makes it easy for consumers to better understand used vehicle quality, announced that its award-winning inspection platform for auto dealers is now available to auto technicians and repair facilities. The SureSale Trusted Technician and SureSale Trusted Repair Facility programs increase the ways consumers can access used vehicle inspection data as the private party seller market grows.

In the face of constrained used vehicle inventory, record used vehicle prices and new buyers coming into the market, the programs offer critical benefits, helping technicians and repair shops meet demand for pre-purchase inspections and acquire new customers.

“We are excited to make the SureSale app and report available to the over 750K technicians and over 150K repair facilities nationwide(2), making them more competitive in today’s market,” said Donny Hall, SureSale CEO. “SureSale helps provide buyer confidence and peace of mind, while enabling auto dealerships to sell vehicles faster and for more money. So, it just makes sense for SureSale to expand these benefits to consumer sellers and buyers in the private party market through repair shop or technician SureSale pre-purchase inspections.”

The programs streamline the inspection process for technicians with the SureSale Inspection App, which helps eliminate onerous manual checklists and computer inputs, while fueling consumer confidence and trust with its easily shareable vehicle report. The inspections typically take less than an hour, saving valuable time for both customer, facility, and technician. The app synthesizes the data with deep vehicle history (at no extra cost) and automatically generates a report that, in addition to history, provides a bumper-to-bumper, mechanical and technology system check, including a road test.

Implementation of the program for both technicians and repair shops is quick and easy. The program also includes a marketing tool kit to help technicians amplify their own advertising across digital media from Yelp to Craigslist.

How it Works:
Technicians simply follow the SureSale Inspection App’s roadmap, in-putting vehicle images and condition information including mechanical and safety issue checks, interior and exterior condition, functional operations, under the vehicle and hood inspection results, tires and tread depth measurements, fluids, brake pedals and pads, and more.

While the physical inspection takes place, the SureSale Inspection app simultaneously runs the VIN through SureSale’s proprietary platform to analyze and check vehicle history, title status, odometer accuracy, manufacturer warranty, recalls, and other important vehicle information. This information is automatically combined with the inspection information in the easily readable, SureSale vehicle quality report, which can be shared digitally with customers directly from the app.
