Reynolds and Reynolds associates build and donate bicycles for children during annual events in Houston, College Station, and Dayton.
The Reynolds and Reynolds Company recently held a series of annual events at several of its major office locations to benefit families in need this holiday season. For 15 years, Reynolds associates have been building and donating bicycles — and occasionally scooters and skateboards — to families in need in and around Dayton, Ohio. Often these families include parents who serve in the armed forces protecting our communities and country. This year, 80 bicycles were built and donated out of the Dayton office. They were given to members of 10 units of the Ohio National Guard from all over the state.

Meanwhile, in Houston and College Station, Texas, Reynolds associates came together to build bicycles at separate events. In their twelfth year participating, Houston associates built 100 bicycles that were donated to members of the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston. College Station associates notched their ninth year of participation and also built 100 bicycles, which are going to the local Salvation Army Angel Tree Program.

It is important to Reynolds associates to give back to the communities they reside and work in. Those in need this holiday season are neighbors, friends, and sometimes family. “Every child deserves to experience the joy and excitement of receiving what could be their first bicycle for whatever holiday they celebrate, regardless of the economic situation their family finds itself in,” said William Wright, event coordinator in College Station.
Since this effort began, Reynolds has donated more than 3,500 bicycles across all three locations.
