New AmeriBRAKES Part Numbers

The new brake pad line serves some new Ford, Volkswagen, Audi and Mercedes-Benz models.

In January, Momentum USA, Inc. released new part numbers for their AmeriBRAKES brake pad line. The new parts add coverage to late model vehicles such as the Ford Transit 150, 250 and 350, the Volkswagen Jetta, the Audi A3 Quattro and the Mercedes-Benz C300.

AmeriBRAKES brake pads are manufactured and distributed in North America, which allows Momentum to be a consistent manufacturing and supply source regardless of global conditions.

Each brake pad is designed, formulated and engineered to deliver the best braking for makes and models. They are designed using 100% copper free formulations that meet 2025 regulations.

Why Are Alternators Subject To Ripple Voltage?

The alternator produces an AC current that must be converted into DC current by way of a rectifier.

Alternators have been used to charge the 12V DC electrical systems in vehicles since long before computers and networks were part of the equation. Just a few decades ago, the 12V DC electrical system wasn’t that vulnerable to ripple voltage. Today however, excessive ripple voltage can cause major communication issues across networks and can cause a number of communication DTCs to be set in multiple control modules.
