General Motors executives recently gathered at Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, TX, to recognize another No. 1 claim at Classic Chevrolet. For the sixth consecutive year, Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine purchased more GM parts than over 4,000 other GM dealerships across the country.
“This award is a direct result of your hard work throughout the year,” Zone Manager Char Brown said to Tom Durant, parts director Tom Cross and the Classic Chevrolet parts, service and sales teams. “Everyone from warehouse staff, inventory managers, counter staff, drivers and administrative staff had a hand in making this record volume of parts ordered.”
This year, Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine purchased over $72 million in GM parts, a staggering $27 million ahead of the next largest dealership purchaser. The award was accepted by Tom Durant, shown above with his team.
Classic Chevrolet’s Parts Department exponential growth has led to three expansions since 2003 and now occupies 100,000 square feet and stocks over $12.5 million in GM parts. The body shop services customers all over Texas and Oklahoma as well as other GM dealerships across the country.
Durant accepted the trophy surrounded by the parts employees. He addressed the GM executives and the Classic employees in attendance, “It’s a testament to each and every one of you and your hard work that allows us to not only be No. 1 year after year, but to continue to lead the pack by such a significant margin. Thank you again for all of your hard work and another great year!”
