How does helping others factor into the culture of your business?

Serving our community is a very big part of what we do at Sansone Jr’s 66 Automall, it all starts with hiring nice people who sell and service cars and then providing them the leadership and training that allows them to succeed. We have very little turnover at Sansone Jr’s 66 Automall, which is what makes it possible for a culture to spread.

Please share with us the causes that are important to you and your business.

Through our Hope for a Ride program, Sansone Jr’s 66 Automall partners with local organizations to donate vehicles to local families who, having a vehicle, would be life-changing. Whether it is being able to get to work, taking a family member to the hospital for ongoing medical needs, or going to school to get a degree, Sansone Jr’s 66 Automall is proud to support our community. All applications go through our partner organizations. In addition to our Hope For a Ride program, we host the “Basket Brigade” every Thanksgiving, which provides full turkey dinners to local families in need. What makes this project special is our dealership serves as the distribution hub for all of the deliveries. We not only get our employees and their families involved, we get local youth groups to help with the effort. This creates a fun environment for our children to see the join of giving and serving the community.

How do you encourage your team members to get involved?

With our Hope for a Ride program the technicians and salespeople are very involved in the process, fixing and repairing the cars we donate as well as attending the events that we give the cars away at. With the Basket Brigade everyone gets involved with putting the dinners together and delivering to those in need.

What do you look for in a cause to determine if you will get involved? What advice can offer to others?

I personally like working with smaller church or community support groups because I get a sense of who the leaders are and that their cause is pure.
