CarNow, a leading automotive digital retailing company, has announced that Dan Jemiolo has joined the company as senior vice president of engineering, overseeing the company’s software development and operations. Jemiolo will be responsible for setting CarNow’s software development policies, processes, and metrics, and scaling both the organization’s technology and talent for the next level of growth.
“CarNow really impressed me during the interview process with its thoughtfulness, authenticity, and domain expertise,” said Jemiolo. “The company’s obsession with getting its solutions right is matched by its obsession with having a great culture. I’m really excited about how much we’re going to achieve together in the next few years.”
Built for dealers and by dealers, CarNow provides best-in-class digital retailing technology that minimizes pain points for its customers. The company’s suite of solutions and integrated partners offer a white-glove shopping experience without adding unnecessary burden to the dealer.
“Dan’s proven track record of building and maintaining top-talent culture at Salesforce is truly impressive and unique in any size of engineering organization,” said Andy Park, CEO and founder of CarNow. “His experience combined with our organizational growth tees up an exciting next chapter at CarNow as a technology leader.”
Prior to joining CarNow, Jemiolo served as the vice president of engineering for the user interface platform at Salesforce, the original cloud computing company and No. 1 CRM provider. He was also the founder and site executive of Salesforce’s research and development office in Raleigh, NC, growing the local team from zero to 150 people who were responsible for the technical integration of Salesforce’s acquisition of Slack. Prior to Salesforce, Jemiolo built his engineering career at IBM and Dell EMC. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in computer science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
